Dato’ Seri Khor Teng Tong, the founder cum Executive Advisor of Hunza Properties Berhad received The World Chinese Lifetime Achievement Award of World Chinese Economic Summit, 2017 in the category of Properties Development during the recent 9th World Chinese Economic Summit 2017.

The World Chinese Economic Summit Lifetime Achievement Award was established in 2011 to honor individuals who have made significant contributions in their respective field of work. Helming the company for nearly 40 years, the visionary Dato’ Seri Khor Teng Tong has led Hunza to be one of the largest property developers in Malaysia. Under his shrewd and able leadership, he has successfully completed many landmark development projects of the highest standard such as Gurney Paragon Mall, Infinity and Alila.

The presentation of the award was held at the 9th World Chinese Economic Summit in Hong Kong on 13th November 2017. For the past 8 years, this premier international event has brought together over 5,000 government, business and pre-eminent leaders and had since brought about many business deals and initiatives resulting in the signing of many MOU’s and joint venture agreements.

The award not only recognises recipients who have demonstrated a lifetime commitment to ‘make a difference’ but also those who have provided outstanding contributions to the regional and global community. It also honours them for their immense dedication, selfless service and innovative leadership.

Upon receiving the award, Dato’ Seri Khor, 75, said “I am very honoured and deeply humbled by this recognition. This award is a tribute to every member of Hunza Group, past and present - directors, management, staff and my family. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every of them who have in some way or another made this day attainable.”

Dato’ Seri Khor was named “Property Man 2014” during the 22nd Annual FIABCI Malaysia Property Awards in recognition of his contributions to the furtherance of the property development and real estate sector of the country. He was conferred the Darjah Gemilang Pangkuan Negeri (D.G.P.N.) in 2014 and Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri (D.S.P.N.) in 1998.

At the age of 75, his passion for the property industry remains unquenchable through the years. Today, he continues to provide invaluable guidance to the Group in his current capacity as Executive Advisor as the company moves forward to ensure its continuous growth and that of the nation’s economy.

拿督斯里許廷忠獲2017年第九屆世界華人經濟峰會頒發“世界華人終身成就獎”

匯華集團創辦人兼執行顧問拿督斯里許廷忠，在2017年第九屆世界華人經濟峰會中，獲頒產業發展組的“世界華人終身成就獎”。

世界華人經濟峰會從2011年開始，通過終身成就獎來表彰在各個領域中作出巨大貢獻的人士。而拿督斯里許廷忠憑著他近40年在房地產界的經驗，披襟斩棘、有遠見和創業的精神，成功帶領匯華成為馬來西亞最主要的房地產發展商之一；同時，也成功打造多項具國際水準的標誌性產業項目，如葛尼百麗宮、Infinity和雅逸嵐。

這項頒獎典禮是于2017年11月13日，在香港的第九屆世界華人經濟峰會中舉行。過去8年，這項經濟峰會成功聚集超過5000名政經文教和思想領袖，並促成許多商業交易、倡議與合作諒解備忘錄以及合作協議的簽署。

“世界華人終身成就獎”不只是認可及表揚那些付出終身努力以求為社會帶來改變的人士；同時，他們多年的努力付出，也為整個區域和社群帶來了巨大影響。他們無私的付出、貢獻和創新領導是值得贊揚的。

拿督斯里在獲獎後表示：“我感到非常榮幸可以獲得這項榮譽。這榮譽屬于匯華大家庭的每一位成員，包括董事、管理層、員工，以及我的家人。我要藉此機會，感謝他們每一位的付出，直接和間接地成就了這份榮譽。”

拿督斯里許廷忠曾榮獲第22屆世界不動產聯盟馬來西亞產業大獎之“2014年度馬來西亞產業風雲人物”，表揚他在國家房地產發展所作出的巨大貢獻。拿督斯里也分別于2014年及1998年受封D.G.P.N.拿督斯里勛銜及D.S.P.N.拿督勛銜。

儘管拿督斯里已年屆75，但他對房地產行業的熱衷從未减退。目前，他以執行顧問的身份為集團提供寶貴的咨詢意見，支持和輔助公司為國家經濟增長帶來巨大潛力與貢獻。
