HUNZA GROUP LAUNCHES THE H CHANNEL TO SHOWCASE THE MANY FACETS OF PENANG TO THE WORLD
Penang 7 May 2021 – One of Penang’s leading property developers, Hunza Group, today launched an exclusive YouTube channel as part of their outreach initiatives. The H Channel will showcase some of the best Penang has to offer in terms of lifestyle, leisure and property, on top of insightful conversations with key figures in the State regarding investment, economy, education and future outlook.
In an increasingly digitalized landscape, one of the ways to engage both the general audience and potential clients is to develop content which can convey information in a unique perspective as well as easily accessible. With a backdrop such as Penang which is rich with culture and heritage, there are so much to draw from as well as discover in content creation. On top of that, the State is also known as the economy powerhouse of Malaysia and one of the most desired tourism destinations in Asia.
Hunza Group has always been at the forefront in promoting Penang as an ideal destination for living, tourism and investment. Over the years, the Group has carried out various initiatives – both online and offline – in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Australia, Macau, Indonesia and Singapore. With the current situation where physical mobility is limited and national borders are closed, the Group has to adapt its approach accordingly by expanding its virtual reach through Facebook, Instagram, social media channels and in this particular case – YouTube. Its viewership which spans across the globe will enable audiences from both local and abroad to enjoy the contents in their own time via mobile devices, laptops or even TVs.
The H Channel will be among the select few, lifestyle-based channel by a property developer in the online video platform. The H in the name is a direct reference to the initial of Hunza. The content development for the channel will be based on two streams – with one focusing on interview format with key leaders in respective industries such as manufacturing, education, economy and investment, while the other leaning towards lifestyle as well as casual subjects such as tourist attractions, food and leisure activities. The channel aims to drive more understanding on the potentials of Penang as both an investment destination and the preferred choice for retreat, a second home or even retirement.
The channel will be helmed by two main hosts – Ms. Khor Tze Ming and Ms. Lily Tan – who are also the Group Executive Directors of Hunza Properties Berhad. They are the showrunner for the interview stream where viewers can expect insights and unique perspectives from extraordinary individuals. The lifestyle content on the other hand, will be hosted by a young trio of sub-hosts with dynamic synergy who are also staff of Hunza Group – Ms. Blair Teh, Mr. Sam Goh and Mr. Andy Koay.
“Ever since the pandemic started, our clients from overseas have not been able to visit Penang due to the closure of international borders. Through this channel, we hope to get them connected virtually to these places – both known and unheard of – so they will retain a sense of attachment to Penang. For those who are new to Penang, we hope to give them an avenue to know more about this beautiful place with great potential in property investment or even retirement,” said Lily. Tze Ming added, “At the same time, we hope to present to Malaysians a different take on some of these places from the perspective of a local, with the hope that it will help to drive domestic tourism in Penang when the situation improves. Also, our exclusive interviews with some of these interesting people who have not been seen on the screen before will yield some unexpected stories along the way.”
Two videos will be uploaded to The H Channel each week on every Friday, 8pm (GMT+8) and Saturday, 1pm (GMT+8). The premiere will be on 7 May 2021, 8pm (GMT+8) and the pilot episode will feature a pair of special guests from a Malaysian-based YouTube channel, WABIKONG TV, who will bring fresh laughter to the viewers together with the trio of sub-hosts. The current run for this “first season” is expected to cover 20 episodes from May to July 2021. The hosts are looking forward to receiving good support from the general audience in Penang and Malaysia as well as those from abroad.
Hunza Group has also recently started its TikTok channel with the name of The H Club as part of its wider outreach initiative. Moving forward, the Group will use a mixed media approach – both online and offline (via print) – to carry out its marketing strategies in order to ensure optimum delivery of information to people from all walks of life.

The H Channel 将在每周五晚上8点和每周六中午1点 ,以每周两集的内容上传到频道。而首映将于2021年5月7日晚上8点正式开播,首映内容邀请了一对特别嘉宾(Wabikong 挖金)与三位副主持人一起大抛笑料。第一季的内容预计将在2021年5月至7月播出,总集为20集。主持人们都很期待得到槟城、马来西亚甚至海外观众的正面支持。
